RBKC Supply Chain Seminar
Date: 1st July 2024 9.15-11.30am (on line)
Is your business ready for the fastest growing market within the construction sector - retrofitting properties and buildings to meet net-zero targets?
In 2019 Kensington & Chelsea Council adopted two ambitious targets:
• for the Council to be a net zero organisation by 2030 and
• for the borough to be carbon neutral by 2040.
It has prepared a Climate Emergency Action Plan 2022-27 for tackling the task of retrofitting Council owned buildings including housing and corporate estates, schools and leisure centres. It is also supporting community owned energy schemes through the award winning North Kensington Community Energy.
Private landlords too are having to upgrade the energy efficiency of their buildings in order to meet the minimum energy performance levels required for letting them out to tenants. This is creating new supply opportunities across the UK as well as on your doorstep.
